At Divine Shepherd Academy, our After School Care Program is more than just childcare—it’s a place where students in Kindergarten through 8th grade can thrive, explore their interests, and grow in a nurturing, faith-based environment. We partner with families to provide a structured, engaging, and enriching experience that supports students academically, socially, and creatively.

Our program is designed to give children a sense of belonging, purpose, and joy in a setting that encourages personal growth, responsibility, and Christian values. With dedicated staff, structured routines, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, we ensure that every child feels supported and inspired to reach their full potential.

A Typical Afternoon at Divine Shepherd Academy

3:15 – 3:45 PM | Arrival & Snack Time
We welcome students with a healthy snack and time to relax after their school day.

 3:45 – 4:30 PM | Homework & Academic Support
Students receive guidance and a quiet, structured environment to complete their schoolwork. Our staff provides assistance to ensure students stay on track academically.

4:30 – 5:15 PM | Enrichment Activities
Our program includes a variety of activities that encourage creativity, confidence, and personal growth:

• Music & Rhythm – Students explore melody, rhythm, and instruments, fostering a love for music in an engaging and interactive way.

• Creative Arts – Hands-on projects like painting, drawing, and crafting allow students to express themselves and develop artistic skills.

• Physical Activity & Outdoor Play – Structured activities and free play give children a chance to move, release energy, and build teamwork skills.

• Bible-Based Character Development – We incorporate discussions and activities that reinforce kindness, respect, integrity, and faith, helping children build a strong moral foundation.

 5:15 – 6:00 PM | Community & Free Play
Children unwind with friends in a safe and supervised setting before heading home for the evening.
